TREE of LIFE
Centennial Park Centennial Park was dedicated in 2008 in celebration of the city’s first 100 years. This park is the site of a former nursery, so many unique and beautiful trees were already flourishing in the park

The art project honors the iconic Sitka spruce tree that defies nature by surviving on a coastal bluff with its root system almost entirely exposed and suspended over a cavern. It is also known as the "Root Cave".

The famous tree is located on Kalaloch Beach, within Olympic National Park, which is about a three-hour drive from Poulsbo.
The Poulsbo Garden Club donated a "Tree of Life panel" art installation to Centennial Park. It was unveiled during the city's 2025 Arbor Day celebration.
